Project Conrols Manager - Field

We have been retained to find and recruit a Project Controls Manager for our client, a multi-million dollar engineering and construction firm who enjoys an outstanding reputation. The firm performs work, both domestically and internally for clients in the industrial, oil and gas, heavy civil and water/wastewater industry segments. This position will be within their Industrial group, focusing primarily on oil and gas clients in California.

Primary Responsibilities: Project cost and schedule control Establishing budgets and tracking systems to control project expenditures Setting up and maintaining projects in the financial system (contract price, budgets, change orders, etc.) Creating progress measurement systems for earned value tracking Productivity analyses Ensuring contract billings are submitted timely Training project staff on project controls structure and philosophy Cost at completion forecasting Project scheduling Ability to understand and review job cost with regard to purchase orders and subcontracts within a committed cost system Interface between field jobsites and accounting to ensure processing of invoices Requirements: Degree in Construction Management or an Engineering discipline Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as Lead, Supervisor or Manager in the Project Controls field. Minimum of 5 years of field construction experience including progress reporting and construction logic General knowledge of financial system software is required Proficiency in Primavera v3.1 and other project scheduling software and Microsoft Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data to Senior Management
