Essential Functions
Perform quantity takeoffs.
Assist with subcontractor and vendor solicitation.
Coordinate site mobilization for project startup.
Develop and track submittal and material expediting log.
Expedite, review, track & file submittals.
Confirm delivery of materials.
Participate in CPM schedule updates.
Ensure all submittals, deliveries, etc. that affect the project schedule are expedited and delivery schedules are coordinated with the Superintendent.
Serve as the onsite quality manager for assigned trades by measuring quality of work-in-place according to company policies and procedures.
Use and maintain internal control databases (IRISDocs).
Ensure job progress is recorded through photos.
Schedule, manage, and record minutes of owner and subcontractor meetings.
Receive, research, track and respond to requests for information (RFI).
Assist project team with vendor and subcontractor communication.
Record documents such as shop drawings, vendor listings, and RFIs.
Maintain permit documents.
Participate in cost coding for labor reports.
Participate in subcontractor and vendor payment procedures and insurance certificates.
Distribute change documents to subcontractors and prepare change proposal requests for price review.
Participate in punch list process.
Coordinate and document owner training.
Gain professional development through on-the-job training, observation, and classroom training
Help project management review Safety and Quality Control programs.
Ensure pre-work meetings are completed and documented for each subcontractor including material deliveries, site specific safety and quality control issues.
Prepare weekly and monthly status reports and monitor/review weekly subcontractor meeting minutes, change orders, etc.



Education, Experience and Knowledge
BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, an internship with a construction company is desired.
Able to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting/exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
Computer skills: proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools (e-mail, internet, etc.).
Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
