Project Manager – Closeout Specialist

Construction Management consulting firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager, specializing in closeout of construction projects, to work in the New Construction Branch with the Los Angeles Unified School District. The LAUSD expects to build approximately 150 new schools through 2012. Projects range from $5 million in construction value to $150 million.

Duties: Manage the construction close out process for multiple projects. Interface directly with the Owner?s Authorized Representatives (OARs), Inspectors, Contractors and A/E?s in managing projects close-out. Review and confirm contractor?s submittal of record drawings and specifications and manage the completion of project as-built drawings and specifications. Compile in coordination with the OAR?s, all warranties and O&M Manuals. Manage in coordination with the OAR?s and inspectors, the updating of the punch lists. Log & track all change orders and claims in Primavera Expedition. Demonstrate proficiency in change management. Position is considered a ?Project Engineer? role.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum 4 years experience in construction management of commercial and/or public facilities. Prefer BS or BA in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management or a closely related field The 10-hour Cal OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in Construction Safety & Health must be completed by all employees working and/or visiting any project site within 30 days of their start date.
