Project Manager: Virgin Islands/Pittsburgh

N.A. Water Systems, a Division of Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies (VWS), is currently seeking a Design/Build Project Manager.

 

The selected candidate for this particular position will work on-site at our current project at St. Croix, Virgin Islands for the first 12-18 months of employment.  When this project is complete, the employee will work permanently in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office.  While on-site in St. Croix, all expenses (apartment, automobile, meal allowance, one trip home per month, etc.) will be paid fully by the company.

 

Responsibilities for this position while on-site will include management responsibility for the company?s industrial wastewater design/build project.  The selected candidate will provide direction to the internal and external engineering personnel, technical and project service departments and construction subcontractors.  This position is also responsible for client interface and reporting, project coordination, design review,  management of a six-person on-site construction management team (consisting of a construction manager, scheduler, QA/QC representative and various engineering disciplines), budget adherence and management of construction.

 

Once relocated to Pittsburgh responsibilities will include full management and P&L responsibility for industrial and municipal water supply and wastewater treatment design/build projects.  Also: provide training and mentoring to junior/assistant project managers and project engineers; provide direction to applicable engineering, technical and project service departments as well as construction subcontractors; contract management; team building; proposal and project coordination; design review and management; budgeting; construction contract development; sales support; scheduling and estimating oversight; management of construction.

 

A Bachelor of Science Degree in civil, chemical, construction, or environmental engineering (or related field) is required for this position, along with a minimum of 10 years applicable experience.  Effective written and oral communication skills and a willingness to travel as needed is required.  Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, DBIA or PMP certifications, and/or Professional Engineer registration is preferred.
