PROJECT MANAGER FOR COMMERCIAL ROOFING COMPANY

 

General Works, LLC, located in greater Orlando, FL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tecta America Corp., the largest commercial roofing company in the United States headquartered in Skokie, Illinois, with annual revenues in excess of $380 Million Corporation, 23 operating companies and 50 locations throughout the United States, is seeking a Project Manager for its $25,000,000 Commercial Roofing Division.  

 

This position will report to Commercial Division Manager.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Understand and interpret contractual agreements, architectural plans and project specifications and assure compliance with local codes, manufacturer?s installation instructions, FM and/or UL or other governing agencies.  Gather information and publish project submittals and project specific detail drawings. Keep record of project documentation and correspondence with Architect/Engineer, owner, consultants, etc.  Assist Division Manager with job investigation, planning and organization and track actual progress to plan and publish weekly results.

 

Requirements:  Must be capable of climbing ladders and with little fear of heights.  Would require field investigation of all roofing projects and would include new construction multiple trade projects.  Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project, and a valid driver?s license.

 

Preference will be given This person should excel at investigating compliance, planning projects and publishing and tracking job specific work plans.  A Building Construction Management degree and CAD experience a plus.
