Project Manager - high end residential

I have been retained by my client to hire a residential Project Manager that has proven success in high end custom homebuilding.

 

My client is a builder/developer located south/west of Boston that has been in business for over 60 years. They are a third generation firm that is growing its team of professionals.  Their growth is due to producing outstanding work with a customer service focus.

 

Their working environment is like that of an old school builder with an Ivy League education. The office is nice but not flashy and they?re located in one of their own development projects.

 

The business is focused in the development and construction of commercial, residential and industrial properties. More recently they have established an asset management group to attend to their portfolio of one million square feet of development properties.

 

Their growth has allowed them to extend their services to the restoration and renovation of luxury homes and a recent development of two luxury residential communities.  They are currently in the process of building single family spec homes, custom homes and some high end remodeling project, each project valued between $600 to the millions.

 

The residential division is experiencing tremendous growth so my client is looking to further expand their residential talent pool.

 

We are looking to hire a mid/senior level Project Manager.

 

The ideal candidate:

 Has 8 plus years of project management experience Has run a job from soup-to-nuts Can run multiple jobs at once Is computer literate, the ability to use scheduling software is a must Project experience in excess of $1 million, high-end homes of new construction and remodeling work Buyout of trades Ability to source and pick subcontractors (has a book of established subcontractors) Excellent customer skills Strong technical understanding of residential construction processes

 

The firm has a broad list of projects in their portfolio so one should be able to contribute to the following fundamentals of their business: Estimating, Buyout, Quality Control and final product delivery.
