Proposal Development Manager

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking a Proposal Development Manager. The proposal development manager leads the development of Power & Petrochemical proposals, with a focus on strategic, engineering, construction operations, and estimating input from subject matter experts, engineering partners, OEM?s, subcontractors, and others within the organization. The proposal development manager is responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of the contract documents during negotiations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
? Drive and direct proposal development in a manner consistent with the strategic direction established by the team, including operations, business development, estimating, and other subject matter experts
? Utilize experience, expertise, and technical knowledge to develop competitive, entrepreneurial ideas while maintaining the required RFP deliverables
? Maintain consistency in the proposal development process from project to project
? Obtain all information including all RFP requirements, commercial input, and technical input in a timely manner to ensure all proposals are thorough, professional, and delivered on time
? Coordinate and participate in establishing the final price / final pricing reviews of respective proposal efforts
? Participate in and help lead project negotiations as part of the negotiations team (Business Development, Operations, Estimating, etc.)
? Drive the post-bid presentation effort to the Customer
? Participate in and identify proposal development process improvements. Convey these thoughts regularly to the Sr. Proposal Development Manager
? Communicate with the customer as the single point of contact for technical / commercial questions during the proposal phase

Bachelor?s Degree, Engineering required. 7+ years experience in the Industry, construction field experience in the Power and Petrochemical Industries. Technical knowledge of Power and Process industries (Coal, Gas, AQCS, Cement, LNG, petrochemical, etc.), detailed understanding of construction techniques and processes, basic commercial understanding of key contract and risk management terms, collaborative skills, negotiation skills, strong people skills, strong communication skills, decision making skills, organizational and meeting facilitation skills.
