Quality Assurance Manager

We currently have an immediate need for a Regional Quality Assurance Manager for a Major U.S. Industrial Contractor in Trevose, PA.?

POSITION SUMMARY

Plan, direct, supervise, and when necessary personally perform, Company quality control functions and activities as established by corporate policy to ensure corporate policies are met.

Experience:

Extensive, ten or more years, construction industry experience in the quality assurance field is necessary.?It is vitally important the prior experience generated a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and codes, jurisdictional requirements and their impact on project activities.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience is required.

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: (Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.)

NDT equipment normally associated company projects, such as dye penetrant test kits, magnetic particle test kits, hydro test equipment, x-ray, etc.

Computer hardware and software, including: Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint); cost tracking software (McCosker, ViewPoint); internet use and innovation. Ability to learn other software, if required, with company-provided training.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

Valid state-issued driver's license.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Essential Functions

1.????? Incorporate safety and environmental responsibility into daily action.

2.????? Utilize and improve the Company Management System for effective and efficient fulfillment of requirements from customers, regulators and values, policies, objectives and targets.

3.????? Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with customer, subcontractor, vendor, craft and jobsite personnel.

4.????? Employ organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact the project.?When obstacles arise, employ sound decision making/problem solving skills to resolve the issue.

5.????? Develop, direct and monitor strategic plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the Regional Office.

6.????? Establish and maintain a technical library for reference as needed.

7.????? Review bid inquiries for projected quality assurance cost impacts.

8.????? When necessary, develop project specific non-destructive test procedures, e.g. hydro test, to comply with customer and code requirements.

9.????? Issue and implement company quality control (assurance) program.?Ensure company standards as outlined in the quality control manual are effectively implemented.

10.? As required by the quality control program, perform activities such as audits, preparation of company standards and notification to management of quality issues and problems.

11.? Ensure adequate corrective measures are taken in cases of nonconformance.

12.? Act as liaison with owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors and/or internal departments on all quality control matters.

13.? Plan, organize and staff quality control field positions through the Vice Presidents.

14.? Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel.

15.? Review and approve internal material control documents/purchase orders as required.

16.? Serve as the Level III Examiner (MT, PT).

17.? Conduct regular walk-downs and inspections of construction projects, including safety audits, to audit craft and administrative work in progress or completed work for compliance with customer and code requirements.

18.? Prepare, assemble and distribute customer turnover packages for code related items.

19.? Participate in 'lessons learned' meetings upon completion of projects.

20.? Travel outside the local area, by air and car, when required to maintain position's essential functions.
