Quality Control Officer

Job Function : Develop a construction quality control plan as part of the CDMP that is responsive to Army quality control standards and Picerne philosophy. 
Implement and supervise the quality control plan. Assist the Development Director in analyzing and evaluating in-house quality control staff versus third-party consultants. 
Develop a quality control team of the highest quality people from the appropriate industries and/or assist with the selection of a third-party consultant.  Manage the activities of quality control consultants.
This position will report to the Director of Construction.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

?  Thoroughly understand the Army?s privatization process and development of the CDMP.  Understand the requirements and standards for construction established in the CDMP.

?  Research applicable building codes and local ordinances and advise development team with respect to compliance.

?  Review and comment upon design drawings for quality, code and CDMP compliance

?  Develop and track all quality control reporting

?  Perform regular quality control inspections to ascertain and report the quality of construction work

?  Work closely with community management to establish home completion standards.  Coordinate home completion standards with Lender?s third-party inspector.

?  Assist the Development Director and Construction Director with monitoring and tracking new home warranty work



Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in business, construction, architecture, engineering or related field required;  Professional registration preferred
Minimum 15 years experience in development and construction; Residential experience required
Minimum 10 years experience with quality control functions; Experience with USACE EM385 preferred
