REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION

 Regional Operations Manager


Multi-national company serving the steel industry has an immediate opportunity for a Regional Operations Manager for its Virginia locations. Individual will be responsible for supervising operations personnel and managing the daily operations for the area locations.

Qualified candidate will have a BS degree and a minimum of ten years experience in an industrial or construction environment. MBA preferred.

Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Evaluate external market needs and transform the information to the product mix, manufacturing decisions, and inventory management
Cultivate relationships with regional personnel, continually looking for new service opportunities
Monitor standards of the product specifications for commercial and State applications
Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement the appropriate related programs and controls
Maintain and measure quality products and processes 
Justify and coordinate capital expenditures with the General Manager and corporate purchasing departments 
Develop, train and facilitate a working team of operational/maintenance persons 
Manage equipment and plant maintenance procedures and costs
Ability to understand financial data and use those skills to develop budgets, staffing, capital expenditures and marketing plans 
Provide financial support in the development and consolidation of monthly forecasts, annual operating plans, and strategic plans for the financial operations of the group. Review, analyze, and challenge submissions from business segments for consistency and reasonableness.
Review and analyze monthly actual results for each business supported to identify and analyze significant variances from plan/forecast. Establish/monitor courses of action to be taken.
Perform special projects requested by the Corporate office.


REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree is required. MBA highly preferred.
10+ years related experience in a construction enviroment REQUIRED.
Strong IT systems background required.
Strong communication and relationship building skills
High degree of analytical skills and computer proficiency
