We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager or Vice President to join our Project and Development Services Group supporting our large corporate client in Mexico City. Our Project and Development Services group provides a range of occupancy-related design, construction and relocation services for corporations, institutions and professional services firms.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER/VICE PRESIDENT - Mexico City

Responsibilities:
Oversee project implementation through completion of construction
Monitor base building activities on behalf of the client's interest as joint venture partner
Project management and owner's representative responsibilities
Interface with contractors on daily field activities
Participate in all decisions on the client's behalf
Maintain oversight of core and shell construction schedule
Monitor all schedule activities and review with general contractor monthly
Review schedule concerns for impact on the client's occupancy
Maintain close coordination and communication with external contractors and internal team on schedule issues
Monitor base building construction spend and advise the client of budget/cost issues as they arise
Monitor all subcontract bid and award activities, review all change orders and monthly requisitions, and review all subcontractor agreements for compliance
Participate in value engineering activities to maintain project schedule and budget
Ensure that Project Financial Manager has consistently has current budget and cost information on the trade costs for the core and shell construction
Provide technical support; project budgeting and scheduling
Interface with architects, client staff, property managers and vendors
Maintain client relationship and conflict resolution

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture
Minimum of 8 years project management experience working on high-rise, commercial office buildings
Experience working on high-rise, base building projects in a large city
Experience working with landlords, developers and contractors
Demonstrated a high level of performance in project budgeting, contract negotiations and scheduling
Spanish language a plus (but not required)
Excellent communication skills
Computer proficiency
