SITE SUPERVISOR - NEW RETAIL STORE SETUP

Our job is physical and will require you to travel throughout the US and Canada. The job will give you the backstage knowledge of the retail industry from how the product gets to the store and our customers, the reasons it is placed where it is and the resources required to ensure a successful retail operation.

 

As site supervisor, you will be assisting in managing a crew of people while setting-up Savers and Value Village retail stores. Responsibilities include executing various aspects of setting?up new, remodeled and relocated retail stores and ensuring projects are complete, on-time, within budget  as well promoting teamwork with all parties (store operations and construction) during projects while meeting company standards.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

? Visiting multiple project sites during construction and installation process

? Interpreting blue prints and plan-o-grams for store set-up

? Receiving, unloading, staging and assembling store fixtures and other related equipment

? Assisting the store planner during new store installation  regarding open items, reinstallation of retail fixtures and other related equipment

? Assisting with overseeing set-up crew at store sites

? Responible for the oversight of on-staff and vendors and managing those relationships in a postive and product manner within company standards

? Participating in weekly staff meetings

 

The qualified candidate must have the following background:

 

? Past experience ensuring product  movement  within strict timeframes

? Ability to travel 50%+ of time

? Forklift certification

? Ability to work with all levels of the organization and outside vendors to ensure project complete

? Set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision

? Organization skills and flexibility in an ever changing environment

? Ability to make good decisions quickly, strong follow-through and delegate tasks appropriately

? Strong communication skills that allow you to listen and clearly communicate with staff, vendors and temporary laborers

? Recognize and correct safety hazards immediately

? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
