Safety Coordinator

TP Mechanical Contractors, one of the leading mechanical contractors in the Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio region specializing in commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential plumbing, piping, HVAC and fire protection is seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Cincinnati, Ohio region.

 

Responsibilities of this position includes:Performing field safety audits and making recommendations for corrective actions as needed.Performing safety orientations for new hires as needed.  Overseeing random drug screening program.Performing and/or assisting with safety incident investigations as well as OSHA investigations.Make recommendations to management concerning disciplinary actions when safety violations occur.

? Assisting and/or conducting safety related training.

 

  Requirements:

? Minimum of 2 years experience in the construction industry with safety as job focus.

? Working knowledge of Windows based software systems, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

? Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be capable of handling confidential information.

? Able to perform climbing (extreme heights), crawling, heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and must not be claustrophobic.

? Up to 75% travel will be required.  Limited overnight travel may be necessary.

 

NO RELOCATION WILL BE OFFERED WITH THIS POSITION.
