Sales Engineer BSEE - Electrical

Your primary role and responsibilities as a producing ?Sales Engineer? is to generate, qualify and close new business for commercial, industrail electrical, instrumentation / controls construction, maintenance, project management, and field service business segment of the company. You and your team will build and expand relationships with appropriate c-level executives and other managers to understand needs and deliver appropriate solutions. You?ll be supported by technical estimators and other support staff. You?ll be responsible for sales of the company's services in the greater Houston area, covering a diverse client base. You?ll participate in setting sales and profit goals for assigned markets to meet regional and corporate objectives.
The qualifications, skills and experience applicants must have include a minimum of 3-5 years, 5-10 years preferred in business development / sales management, electrical, instrumentation or controls industry, preferably in the Houston market. Background experience in field sales, sales management, applications sales engineering, controls, energy management, contractor, branch or related areas is highly desirable. You must be persistent, be customer service focused and know how to sell strategically with all levels of decision makers. You?ll create, implement and execute sales processes, strategies, track and plan for your area. This is a hands on, leadership, sales position. You?ll primarily develop new business from new clients. You?ll perform necessary sales administration to make sure your team is kept up to date on sales activities. You?ll participate in sales meetings, track sales activities, inform and update your team.

A Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering BSEE is highly desirable. An Associates Degree or directly related experience will be considered. You must have excellent business development skills in business-to-business sales. An in-depth knowledge of sales principles and ethical practices is required. Your ability to communicate, present ideas and proposals professionally and effectively is required to ensure your individual and team success.
