Sand Quarry Superintendent

Titan America has an immediate opening for a Quarry Superintendent for its sand facility located in Clermont, FL.   This salaried exempt position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the daily operation of the plant, including but not limited to operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance and supervision of plant employees.

 

Responsibilities Will Include:Manage reserves and development.Scheduling production for a 24/7 operation in order to meet continuous customer demand.  Includes dredge and processing plant.Ensure that all products produced meet or exceed customers? expectations regarding quality.Ensure that operation remains in compliance with all applicable environmental standards.Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained, based on company policies and MSHA guidelines.Monitor loading operations.Prepare and ensure accuracy of paperwork resulting from daily business.Ensure that employees are working efficiently and consistently with company policies and guidelines.  Responsible for hiring and other reemployment related activities.Maintain good working relationships with co-workers and other stakeholders.

 

Qualifications and Experience:College degree with 5 years experience in mining environment or 10-15 years hands on experience in mining with supervisory experience.Strong employee relations skills, excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written communication.Basic computer skills in order to complete reports, schedule production and manage plant operations.Ability to prioritize projects, solve problems and make timely decisions.
