Scheduler -- Plumbing

Title: Scheduler

 Full-Time Hours: 8:00 am ? 5:00 pm

 

 FLSA Status: Exempt

Objective

 

To coordinate schedules on multiple projects with efficiency and cost controls in mind.  To work closely to Project Managers and Foremen to ensure the schedules are followed.  To make adjustment to schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

 

Identify key activities and benchmarks, and coordinate the execution of complex construction processes.

 

Effectively allocate resources with a limited amount of manpower and achieve an effective schedule.

 

Identify activities that contain float, report what amount of float exists and what activities are located on the critical path.

 

Arrive at an efficient, man loaded and cost loaded schedule and keep the schedule updated as progress occurs.

 

Write RFI?s and implement the answers.

 

Maintain project files.

 

Expedite material (material take-off, ordering, tracking, and backorders).

 

Maintain a Submittal Log.

 

Update project schedules.

 

Maintain Daily Reports.

 

Work for different project managers and foremen.

 

Meet deadlines and work under time constraints.

Requirements

 

Plumbing experience or education totaling 3-5 years.

 

Flexibility to work at different project sites around southern California.

 

Must have a good understanding of activity relationships and implement logic into schedules. 

 

Good communication skills with project personnel (ie. General Contractor, Project Manager, Foreman, other trades, inspector, etc.)

 

Possess an understanding of construction activities and how plumbing activities are sequenced.  

 

Possess an understanding of construction documents (ie. architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, etc.).

 

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and Primavera Project Planner, Suretrak and Microsoft Project.

 

Ability to work independently on given tasks as well as in a team environment to ensure completion of all tasks.
