Senior Cost Estimator - Construction 5 years experience with general contractor preparing estimates
Position requires preparing detailed construction cost estimates for all trades for commercial properties related to fire, storm, explosion or collapse. Includes hi-rise buildings, apartments, schools, hospitals and transportation facilities. Prepare bid packages for all trades and review & compare estimates. Candidate should be able to work as team leader on some assignments, and be able to review and correct work as needed. Candidate should possess a collage degree and skills to prepare numeric and narrative reports for clients.
The company works in all states east of the Mississippi river and some travel is required, but headquarters is in Philadelphia PA. Candidate should live within 50 miles of Philadelphia or be willing to relocate within that area. Most work is with large national insurance companies.
Medical benefits include choice of BC/BS or HMO with company paying 33% of premium. Two week vacation after 1 year of employment and three week vacation after 5 years of employment.
