Senior Director of Construction

Internationally known restaurant company with 70+ sites in approximately 20 states is currently seeking a Senior Director of Construction. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the candidate will be responsible for directing all construction related activities of the Company, which includes: managing the design and construction phases of all company projects including new construction and renovations and supervising all phases of property management for existing corporate locations such as maintenance.

 

Successful applicant will manage the Company?s construction department and successful implementation of the strategic plan through coordination with the Home Office development team. Represents the company in matters associated with property development before governmental authorities, legal entities or other bodies as required to accomplish objectives. Coordinates alignment of development goals with the overall growth strategy of the company. Exhibits knowledge of managing a development team, including internal and external disciplines, i.e.; architectural, engineering, legal, construction and environmental.


The candidate we seek must have experience with capital budgeting and be able to adhere to such budgets.

 

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of solid experience in construction with a specialty retailer/chain of equivalent size with a minimum of 3 years at the Director or VP level. BS degrees in Business Administration or related field of study a plus.  Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required to effectively work with developers, contractors, consultants and building officials.

 

The candidate must be able to meet strict deadlines, and have a high degree of initiative. Familiarity with current construction and site development techniques preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and automated office equipment is compulsory. Established project development experience required. Frequent travel by car or air required.
