Senior Electronic Systems Technician

SimplexGrinnell is a recognized leader in the sales, installation, and service of state-of-the-art monitor and control systems for the fire alarm, security, sound, nurse call, portable fire extinguishers, suppression, sprinkler, and time management systems.  Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a talented Senior Fire Alarm Technician in our Spokane, Washington location.

Job Description

Perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.  Service, troubleshoot and install Addressable & Network SimplexGrinnell Fire Life Safety systems.  Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.  Manage daily call activity and system products, including networking and programming.  Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.  Participation in on-call rotation for Emergency Service required.


Minimum Qualifications

-  Knowledge of NFPA 72 and NEC codes

-  Factory training in Addressable & Network Fire Alarm Systems

-  Excellent communication and organizational skills

-  Valid driver?s license with a good driving record

-  Outstanding Customer service and problem solving skills

-  PC skills, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

-  5 years experience in Fire Detection industry

-  Experience with conduit

-  NICET Level II or the ability to attain within two years of employment

-  Factory trained on Simplex 4100, 4100U and 4120

 

Starting hourly rate = $26.00 D.O.E; relocation assistance may be considered
