The Field Engineering Technician ensures successful project completion by providing technical expertise for start-up, programming verification, customer training, and verification of proper system operations. The Field Engineering Technician is responsible for interpreting project specifications, shop drawings, sequence of operations, the system being served, and bringing about an efficient start-up, adjustment, calibration, tuning and commissioning of the systems installed by the company. Duties include but not limited to the provision of helping in coordination of technical details of a project, meeting delivery and start up schedules and reviewing sequences and drawings for technical utility, accuracy and usability. Candidates must possess intermediate to advanced electrical and mechanical systems skills; demonstrate sound understanding of HVAC, building automation systems and applications, systems software and applications. Proficiency with the Network 800 line of controls is a must. Familiarity with the I/A, Niagara system is also desired.? Candidates should possess a minimum of 7 years of HVAC controls automation/construction installation experience. Applicant must have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. A valid driver?s license is required. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb and work from ladder.
