Structural Engineer
GENERAL PURPOSE AND PRIMARY DUTY:
Produces structural engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues. Researches and develops structural engineering techniques and approaches. Verifies and checks structural designs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Identifies and establishes performance standards.
? Organizes design projects by identifying short-term and long-term issues.
? Collaborates with engineering design team to develop innovative structural designs.
? Analyses and evaluates structural architectures and algorithms.
? Complies with applicable codes and regulations.
Experience, Education & Training:
Bachelor?s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or a closely related field required. Masters Degree preferred. Requires at least five (5) years of applicable experience. In addition, Building design experience required. Additional educational achievements may be substituted for experience.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Working knowledge of Ram Structural Systems, ETABS and SAP 2000. Working knowledge of applicable building codes, AISC codes and ASCE 02 codes.
