JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Responsible for execution, enforcement, and day-to-day management of the overall standard operating procedures for all field activities related to road construction and earthwork.

 

Must be demanding of subcontractors to meet schedules.

 

Must be a very experienced individual in all aspects of roadwork construction and earthwork; one who conducts himself in a professional manner as a representative of the company.

 

Must have understanding of construction resource allocation to assure proper manpower is utilized to accomplish task at hand. 

 

Maintains continuity between main office and field operations by providing office personnel with accurate field information for billing purposes, production tracking, payroll and human resources issues, additional work, production reports, and project schedule management.

 

Responsible for attending periodic project meetings with owner?s representative pertaining to overall construction project status and related field issues.

 

Conducting daily visits to projects to assure proper equipment and required materials are in order to keep continuity of work. As well as checking quality control standards related to safety and proper utility installation.

 

Must have ability to manage multiple projects with multiple crews, as well as scheduling and attending most related inspections from commencement to project close out.

 

Assisting estimating department in providing site information for accurate bidding to clients.

 

Involved in the locating, interviewing and hiring of prospective field employees as well as handling field employee wage increases through human resources.

 

Must be detailed oriented individual with pride in his or her work.

 

Able to schedule, review, and execute emergency repairs as they occur as well as be on 24- hour call for response to emergency repairs.
