Tech Services Director

Job Summary: Provide direction of all estimating, value engineering, scheduling and logistics activities in the company and provide technical and administrative direction to ensure corporate objectives are met. Will interface with operations and clients as required.Responsibilities:

Establish overall Technical Services Department policy and direction within overall corporate objectives as dictated by the President or Board of Directors.
Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc.
Assist corporate and project management to determine projects to pursue, strategies, techniques, etc. Review all estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness, prior to submission and presentation.
Participate in presentations to other corporate managers and Clients. As member of corporate management team may be responsible for closing the "sale."
Provide administrative and technical support in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
Supervise the preparation of studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required.
Perform additional assignments per President?s or Executive Vice President?s direction.
Total responsibility for scope and quality of Technical Services department?s work. Has profit and loss responsibility. Minimum Requirements: 
Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
Advanced management or technical training preferred.
Extensive (10 or more years) experience in similar facility construction estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques and construction contracts required.
Five-years of supervisory experience in a preconstruction capacity.
Proficient in MC?, Timberline and Primavera software 6. Have excellent management, leadership and communication skills.
