Technical Specialist

McCain, a major supplier to agencies and contractors is seeking a Technical

Specialist to provide the highest quality of customer service both internal and

external as it relates to the duties listed below.  This person will be working

at our facility located in Preston, Washington.



 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Build and maintain customer relationships.

2.  Provide technical support for all McCain signal products to include systems, control equipment, Transit Signal Priority, and associated peripherals, both on the bench and in the field.

3.  Maintain daily work logs, keep records, and prepare reports.

4.  Communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of personnel and customers.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1.  Ability to handle multiple tasks.

2.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

3.  Possess strong organizational and time management skills

4.  Ability to interact with customers and all levels of personnel in a professional manner.

5.  Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

6.  Maintain highest level of professionalism under pressure.

7.  Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word as well as other MS products as well as MS DOS.

8.  Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuitry.

9.  Understand analog & digital electronic circuitry, components and trouble shoot to the component level using schematics and diagrams.

10.  Have knowledge of commonly used practices, procedures and concepts within the electronic field.



 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must have a minimum of an AS in electronics, but a BS is preferred.

Must have experience in the electronic field ? minimum of 2 years.

IMSA Level II certification required after first year of employment with McCain.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel will be required.

Ability to work on a ladder, in a bucket truck, and near traffic.

Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Must have a clean driving record (Copy of DMV record will need to be provided.
