Vice President of Sales

My client is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Vice President of Sales.  As Vice President of Sales, you'll be in a sea level position that's critical to my client's long term goal of continuing success and increasing marketshare in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Overview of Responsibilities:

1.  Direct reports include the entire sales staff covering the Atlanta metropolitan area, and the operations leadership for same.

2.  Position has accountability for all sales and total profit responsibility for the Atlanta metropolitan area.

3.  Primary responsibilities include providing customers with an outstanding product of quality and service, growth of sales and profits, development of team members, building customer loyalty and positioning of the company for future success.

Overview of Activities:

1.  General 
Leading and communicating mission, values, goals, and expectations.
Communication to/from other areas of the company (i.e. Human Resources, Marketing, Purchasing, Information Systems and Finance.)
Administrative activity.

2.  Sales and Customer Development 
Establishing sales objectives and priorities.
Sales Representative hiring and development.
Direct customer contact. Key account management.
Measuring/analyzing sales and market data.
Sales management/sales coaching.
Developing new customer opportunities.
Account planning and development.

3.  Operations/Service
Establishing service objectives and priorities.
Direct customer service.
Measuring/analyzing performance.
Team member development.
Hiring and selecting team members.
Facilitating teamwork.
Observing, coaching and skills training.
Facilitating problem resolution and key projects.

Background Requirements:

1.  Bachelors Degree

2.  Five to Ten Years Sales Management Experience
