First Vice President, Consumer Markets Division Mergers and Acquisitions

This position works closely with the Executive Vice President in creating and managing Consumer Markets Division?s (CMD) Mergers and Acquisitions strategy. This will involve partnering with various CMD departments including Finance, Operations, Training, Human Resources and Executive Management, in addition to working closely with various departments within Countrywide Financial Corporation, including Corporate Development, Legal, Treasury, Marketing, Facilities, Property Management, Central Compliance, Treasury and others. Through the various stages of the process, the First Vice President will be relied on to drive the process on behalf of CMD. While most of the focus will be internal, this position may also have interaction with targets, their legal counsel, etc. Because this is a new business endeavor for CMD, this position will be expected to take proactive initiative to conduct the necessary research using all available means to investigate a particular business issue.

Requirements:
- 4-year college degree.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of mortgage banking.
- Knowledge in project management
- Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions.


- Knowledge of investment banking and M&A practices.
- Knowledge of mortgage banking is preferred, but not required.
