Assistant Vice President, Continuous Improvement
This position supports the implementation of a continuous improvement program and effects improvements in processes, resulting in improved quality, efficiency and, ultimately, profitability of Balboa.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Initiating, managing and conducting small to medium size projects to focus on process analysis and improvement.
- Working with senior management to determine priorities, conducting analyses to identify opportunities, and selecting/implementing projects.
- Effectively planning/communicating projects, conducting interviews and gathering information, and documenting/analyzing business processes/results.
- Gathering data and analyzing problems to determine root causes.
- Analyzing information, designing and implementing new metrics, and analyzing/establishing targets.
- Presenting analyses/recommendations to team members and management.
- Implementing continuous review practices within departments to report, review their measurements and take action under agreed-upon circumstances.
A successful candidate will have:
- Operational understanding and practical application of a formal process improvement discipline (i.e., Business Process Re-engineering, Total Quality Management or Six Sigma).
- 5+ years of experience in process improvement, project management, business analysis and technology enablement.
- 2+ years experience in project management capacity with reputable consulting firm or equivalent.
- 5+ years of total experience in a related environment actually performing work directly related to process improvement.
- Effective communication, meeting facilitation, stand up presentation, analytical and business plan development skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Word and Internet data collection.
The ideal candidate may also possess:
- Post-graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
