A Director will lead multiple accounting policy related projects and must be adept at engagement planning and management and relationship development. Position reports to Managing Director on project, resolving key technical issues and evaluating new standards and the implementation of accounting pronouncements. Technical expertise will include: accounting policies for individual transactions, acquisition due diligence in evaluating accounting policy risks, SEC comment letter resolution, Pre-clearance process at the SEC, and Whistleblower or other accounting investigations.

Job Experience:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Client relationship (e.g. new relationship development)
- Management and planning of Accounting Policy Engagements, and should have some exposure to most of the following key areas:
1. Share Based Plans (SFAS 123R)
2. Transfers of Financial Assets (SFAS 140)
3. Insurance Accounting
4. Purchase Accounting
5. Financial Instrument Accounting
6. Insurance Accounting
- Engagement scope definition
- Engagement chain linking (new work-scope expansion)
- Quality control of all engagement activities
- Ability to leverage methodology frameworks for use on engagements
- Knowledgeable of accounting issues and trends
- Coordination of timely billing and collection activities
- Training and development of Consultants, Senior Consultants, Managing Consultants, and Associate Directors
- Support for company training program including teaching appropriate classes
- Support for company recruiting efforts, including participation in campus and office recruiting events
- Supervision and coordination of administrative responsibilities as required
- Adept at Microsoft Office tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Qualifications/Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA required
- 7-15 years of consulting or industry experience in interpreting GAAP and providing accounting advice.
- SEC reporting experience
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills are a must
- Flexibility with respect to travel
