Analyst - Health & Benefits

A Health & Benefits Analyst helps in the plan design, financing, pricing, and administration of medical, dental, life and disability programs. To fulfill this role, the Analyst will:

Collect, analyze and interpret health care data Analyze claims, estimate future plan costs and develop pricing models Develop awareness of health care plan design, cost factors and the renewal process Calculate employee contributions to meet employer cost objectives; develop COBRA rates.

BA/BS degree in math, statistics, economics, business, finance or liberal arts Minimum of 2 years work experience in health care arena; preferably in underwriting, benefit consulting, health care policy, or health care plan administration Superior analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment Ability to work independently and on a team.
