Job Description:
ACT-1 Technical and Professional Services has a contract to hire opportunity available for an Application Developer in Overland Park, KS. The best candidate will have the following skills: Strong analytical skill
Team player with strong interpersonal skill
Well versed in Microsoft Visual Basic, utilizing a screen scrapping technique,
Microsoft .Net, and Client server infrastructure
Practical experience with Microsoft Source Safe tool would be a plus.
Practical experience in IMS DB & DC, DB2, source for scrapping activity, would also be a plus
JOB DESCRIPTION: Evaluate existing production application to understand functionality, working with functional subject matter experts. Perform new development and maintenance to the application, including analysis, coding, testing and production deployment. Perform documentation as appropriate for new and modification to existing documentation. Work with IT, information technology, the business community as well as working independently as necessary. Application is a screen scraping application obtaining information from IMS mainframe legacy online applications.
