Ariba Consultant-Manager level

Job Description: Bearingpoint, Inc. (NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.

The BearingPoint Strategic Sourcing Team is looking for an Ariba Manager to join our team.

Locations: Northeast or Midwest major cities.

Ideal candidates will:
-Manage smaller projects or segments of larger projects.
-Have moderate to heavy client contact.
-Support practice development initiatives.
-Supervise and review work of less experienced personnel.
-Participate in business and system requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
-Be responsible for the development of efficient/modular well structured code that can be migrated.
-Support the setup of development, testing and the technical configuration of Ariba Buyer 7.1 or 8.x.
-Support the customizations in Ariba Buyer including modification of object models and data mapping to the Legacy and ERP and Supplier Data Base.
-Participate on documentation, overall deployment plan and postproduction support and hand off.

-Successfully perform responsibilities of an engagement controller.
-Deliver timely and quality services.
-Demonstrate the ability to manage and provide leadership
-May assist business development team with writing and presenting proposals for moderately large or complex projects.

Technical skills:
-Previous experience with all or many of the Ariba ESM modules (Buyer, Contracts, eInvoicing, Analysis, Sourcing, Analysis, Category Manager, Category Procurement).
-At a minimum must have an in depth knowledge of Ariba Buyer 7.1 and 8.x (workflow, rules, content management, output processing, UI, order methods, classes, etc.), Object Oriented programming knowledge, XML, Java, JavaScript, basic Unix knowledge, SQL proficient, Tibco and File Channel knowledge a plus, good debugging skills, development mentality and a quick learner.

Education and Experience
-Advanced degree preferred (or additional years of experience).
-Typically has 4-7 years of work experience. Must have consulting experience at the Mgr level.

Weekly travel about 75% required, depending on project location.
