Project Support Desk Associate Director: Procurement & Operations Practice


The Procurement and Operations (PROPS) practice seeks a Project Support Desk Associate Director, and is currently accepting applications. The selected individual will hold day-to-day management responsibilities for the Project Support Desk in the Props practice. The selected individual will hold day-to-day management responsibilities for the Project Support Desk in the PROPS practice. The PROPS practice is comprised of four programs, serving heads of supply chain, procurement, corporate real estate, and quality. The candidate selected for the PROPS SAR AD will partner with the current Director to shape the function?s policies and products with a focus on maximizing added value to our members through high-quality content. The Associate Director will be responsible for creating, coordinating, and executing cross-functional strategies for SAR across the programs he/she manages. The Associate Director will directly manage these programs? managers, and assume oversight and responsibility for the managers? products, staff career trends, and development of managers? functional and segment-specific expertise.



Position Responsibilities
Member management and assistance with problem member units as necessary
Departmental management, including departmental initiatives, administration, and resource allocation
Scaling teaching and building community across the entire practice
Innovation to drive overall program and practice growth, idea generation and execution on new deliverables and services
Attraction/retention of staff with creation of compelling career trajectories ; plan and execute succession management strategies for programs and practice
Fostering partnership with other functions within each department, and functional representation at program Table meetings
Establishing merchandising strategies
Involvement and leadership in the SAR Community at the firm-wide level
Assumption of permanent seat at SAR Leadership table

 Required Skills

Demonstrated member focus (project and queue management preferred)
Leadership -- Contribution to the strategic objectives of the program(s), practice, and Corporate Executive Board as a whole
Solid command of the PROPS canon and operations concepts, or ability/interest to ramp up quickly
Management experience and demonstrated ability to energize others
Solid history of building relationships across silos (Member Services, Syndicated, Programs etc.)
Outstanding record of achievement during tenure at the CEB, or comparable external work experience
Demonstrated ability to serve in a research role
Excellent writing/editing skills
Superior analytical skills
Demonstrated poise and grace under pressure
Flexibility to work outside of strict job description parameters
Thorough understanding of the CEB value proposition and its corresponding applicability to individual member needs
