The successful Banking Systems Architect candidate should have strong technical skills and experience with the ability to architect hardware, software and services solutions; to communicate and explain these well both in writing and verbally; have good interpersonal skills and be a team player. A good understanding of US and International wholesale banking with some retail banking experience. The Banking Systems Architect will demonstrate the ability to understand how to use IBM Business Partner technologies and actively engage with other areas of IBM in creating software solutions to meet needs of banks, as well as their business needs and new company offerings. To engage with customers from a thought-leader, consultative or solution-development perspective, to offer, implement, and deliver technical solutions that address industry needs. Support sales opportunities from conception through to post-delivery. Identify and layout technical tasks and project phases in order to create Statements of Work (SOW's), RFP's and project plans. WebSphere MQ series, WBI Message Broker. workflow technologies MQ workflow, WBI Server foundation, WebSphere Application Server, Java, Relational Databases (DB2, Oracle) Mainframe systems CICS, IMS, z/OS. XML, HTML, project management. Minimum of 10 years tenure in IT, with a minimum of 3 years experience in banking. Architecture Principles and Systems Design experience.
