Benefits Consultant

Fitzmaurice Companies, Inc. (FCI) is a full-service employee benefits consulting and brokerage firm headquartered in New York City. The Company provides all of the services necessary to design, implement, communicate and administer employee benefits plans including Health & Welfare and Retirement programs.FCI's clients are primarily employers with between 100 and 5,000 employees.  Since being founded in 1996,  The Firm has grown rapidly and has been consistently profitable. FCI was acquired by Bank of America Corporation in May 2004, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Banc of America Corporate Insurance Agency, LLC.

Position Responsibilities:  

? Manage multiple ongoing client relationships under close supervision by a VP level or higher.

? Coordinate all aspects of employee health & welfare benefit program analysis, evaluation, implementation, communication and maintenance.

? Interface directly with all client contacts by telephone, e-mail, web-conference, and in-person meetings.

? Perform financial analysis using pre-established formats, as well as produce ad hoc analyses, as  required by clients.

? Negotiate directly with carriers/vendors and function as liaison person between carrier and client during Request for Proposal, and/or Renewal process, as well as ongoing service issues.

? Research and learn new industry concepts, as well as regulatory compliance legislation in the "Employee Benefit" space.

? Conduct benefits-focused M&A Due Diligence analysis on a project basis, often against tight deadlines and time constraints.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

1.At least an undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college;

2.Two-plus years of work experience in the employee benefits field;

3. A current Life and Health insurance license;

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

5. Strong attention to detail;

6. Ability to prioritize and work productively in a fast-paced  environment;

7. Executive presence - required to work with clients at all  levels, as well as conduct large group presentations;

8. Willingness to travel, given geographically dispersed client base (driver's license a necessity);

9. Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; prior experience with BenefitPoint a plus.

Compensation:

FCI will offer a competitive compensation package, including a full range of employee benefits offered through Bank of America.  Compensation structure will include a base salary, bonus eligibility, and clearly defined commission incentive opportunities.
