Opportunity Business Development position within Investar, a venture capital focused in entrepreneurial companies targeted to the Hispanic population in the US.

Position Summary

?

The Business Development Senior Analyst will be part of Investar?s Business Development and Corporate Strategy Team. The main aspects of this position are contributing in the development of internal projects of Investar?s portfolio companies, as well as the in the project evaluation of new ventures for Investar.

The position will consist of thorough market research, benchmarking, strategic analysis and elaboration of financial projections.

Responsibilities

? Market Research of industries

? Industry Benchmarking standards and best practices

? Obtain all required information from the management of new and existing companies in order to elaborate an accurate assessment

? Follow up with the management of Investar?s portfolio companies for the execution of internal business plans

? Elaborate financial projections with complete financial statements

? Perform due diligence of new ventures

? Elaborate presentations to Investar?s board, potential clients or potential partnerships

?

Qualifications Requirements

?

? Minimum of 2 years full-time experience in financial services; consulting, venture capital, private equity or investment bank preferred

? BS or BA Degree

? Bilingual with excellent command of verbal and written English and Spanish

? Highly skilled in Powerpoint and Excel Compensation

? Commensurate with experience
