Career Service Counselor

Corinthian Colleges, Inc. a publicly traded corporation and one of the nation's leading providers of post-secondary training for adult learners with 91 campuses, serving over 40,000 students nationwide.The Career Services department is currently looking for a results oriented Career Service Counselor with a proven track record of success in initiating, building, and maintaining relationships as well as providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced and challenging environment with a diverse clientele for our Olympia College - Skokie, IL campus. 

Responsibilities:

* The ideal candidate will be one who derives satisfation from seeing their efforts produce immediate, tangible results that provide a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day.

* In this position, the candidate will develop relationships with area employers in need of allied health professionals that our school trains.

*  provide classroom and one-on-one instruction in career development skills for our students.

* facilitate the employment of our students.


Qualifications:

* Persuasive and dynamic individual comfortable working with groups as well individuals in both office and classroom settings.
* Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication skills.
* Outgoing and personable individual who enjoys cultural diversity.
* Ability to teach, encourage, and motivate others out of complacency and into action.
* Resourceful and creative over-achiever capable of independent thought and strategic solutions who is willing to take initiative.
* One who measures their success through their results.
* A desire to empower and transform lives through education.
* Bilingual in one or more of the following languages a plus: Spanish, Tagalog, Cambodian, Thai, Polish, Russian, Hindi.

Compensation: salary range of $27,000-$ 31,000 annual commensurate with ability and experience.
