DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for executing data management and analysis activities to support the development of product assortments, planograms and floorplans to support our customers strategic and tactical requirements within the Category Management Framework.  Provide support to the JDA Portfolio Category and Space Management and Intellect products. Direct communication between JDA customers and JDA associates.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Provide category management services: space planning, assortment optimization, channel clustering, and demand-based assortments.

? Client consulting and relationship building, including process improvement and creation.

? Assist the Category Manager in creating functional and executable category plans.

? Clustering analysis report creation, analysis/data preparation and creation of deliverables, including running and executing the analysis.

? Project management including scope control, client budget, and role/task responsibility.

? Work with the Category Manager and Category Analyst to facilitate any workshops and assessment processes. 

? Successful candidate will join a team of JDA specialists, providing strategic demand management services to retail, manufacturer and distributor companies across all classes of retail trade.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

? 3+ years experience in category management, cluster review, category review and assortment planning.

? 1-2 years of Planogram development experience utilizing industry standard planogramming formats, Intactix preferred.

? 1-2 years experience in retail or consumer packaged goods sales or distribution environment.

? Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office Applications, strong preference given to applicant with Microsoft Visual Studio skills, SQL Server or Oracle database administration experience.

? Working knowledge of the Intellect product suite (Channel Clustering, Seasonal Profiling, Demand Planning and Size Scaling) a plus.

? Working knowledge of the Intactix product suite [Space Planning, Efficient Item Assortment (EIA), Intactix Knowledge Base (IKB), and Floor Planning] a plus.

? Knowledge of key industry benchmarks and key performance indicators.

? Client consulting and relationship building skills.

? Proven project management and cost and budget control.

? Training skills, both instructive and consultative.

? Presentation skills and experience.

? Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

? Well organized and consistently meets commitments.

? Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

? Flexible and maintains a teamwork attitude.

? Ability to travel required (up to 50-75%)
