The Global Facilities & Infrastructure Support Category Manager partners with Hewitt s Real Estate and Site Services functions and is responsible for overall category work and service placements in the areas of:


Construction & Design Services
Facilities Management Services- including Supplier relationship management and Key direct and indirect expense items
A/E services
Broker relationship management
P/M service providers
Infrastructure asset acquisitions
Furniture & furnishings acquisitions
Project estimation/value engineering analysis



This position is responsible for delivering year-over-year cost savings utilizing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach with emphasis on the customer. Additionally, this position will identify, develop and implement strategies to increase value for its external/internal customers through the application of sound strategic sourcing practices and Hewitt s Real Property and Infrastructure TCO.


Essential Job Functions:

Develop and execute Supply Chain Services policies, plans and objectives, develop and administers programs to maintain excellence in business relationships with the suppliers. Execute programs and practices aimed at reducing supplier base and to further integrate our suppliers in Company s operations

Compliance to performance standards and objectives regarding quality, cost, timely delivery and customer satisfaction for Supply Chain Services. Ensure approved Company policies and procedures are being carried out. Execute long-range Supply Chain Services strategies and plans. Ensure that the selection, development, evaluation and management of subordinate Supply Chain Services personnel.

Manages assigned categories to create value and service to external/internal customers.
Provides counsel to internal customers during selection process and identifies category requirements.
Serves as subject matter expert in specific category area.
Develop category strategy including market analysis, RFP s, supplier evaluation and negotiation strategy, supply management and drive process to successful outcomes.
Manages supplier relationships in an ethical and professional manner.
Leads vendor selection and negotiation process with emphasis on the products/services and value needed by the customer while ensuring a competitive agreement and price.
Manages and tracks internal implementation and contract compliance.
Identifies and implements TCO cost reduction opportunities. Presents and reviews findings with internal customer (management) ensuring quality of product/service is not sacrificed.
Monitors vendor performance through regular contact with internal customer. Works with customer and vendor to resolve product/service and operational issues.
Identifies and implements best sourcing practices.
Manages multiple projects and priorities achieve agreed deadlines and deliverables.
Demonstrates a commitment to company s core values, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of Global Real Property acquisition, divestiture, and operating practices. Extensive knowledge of North American Market practices and trends.
Bachelor of Science or Business Degree required. Construction, property management, project estimation, and design background desired.
7 to 10 years related experience including extensive strategic sourcing experience in sourcing multiple, large complex categories for major, multi-nationals.
CPM or APICS Certification preferred.
Knowledge in use of PeopleSoft, Oracle or other related ERP application software preferred.
Must be computer literate; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and ERP Systems.
Exceptional negotiating and communication skills with ability to communicate at all management levels.
Experience in managing strategic and tactical sourcing strategies in a multi-facility global environment.
Experience in the execution of long-term commodity strategies/agreements in a Strategic Sourcing Management environment.
Demonstrated ability to think conceptually with a real commitment to change and continuous improvement.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to develop strategic sourcing strategies that will support business objectives on a worldwide basis.
Excellent knowledge of strategic sourcing practices and industry best practices
