Commercial Operations Manager

TITLE:  COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

DEPARTMENT:  Global Commercial Operations

LOCATION:  Atlanta, GA

REPORTS TO:  Director ? Global Commercial Operations

 OVERVIEW

The commercial operations manager will be charged with assisting the commercial operations director in the daily management of the global commercial operations team.  The team is focused on commercial reporting and analysis, consulting resourcing and staffing, proposal and RFx response and the commercial services groups.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The nature of this role will be in the daily interaction and management of the commercial operational teams and directly supporting the alignment of their activities, as well as working with the Director of Commercial Operations to ensure that the teams are operating as effectively as possible.  The scope of this role will be global, requiring interaction with the regional operations resources and other stakeholders within the company.

 

The major functions of the role include:

 

1. Assist in the daily management of the functions of the commercial operations group and ensuring the delivery of those teams to their constituent base.

2. Assisting the director of commercial operations in the framing and deployment of the Top 40 program, as well as managing the daily aspects of the program.

3. Working with the Senior Manager of Information and Reporting, develop the business reporting packages necessary for publication to the commercial leadership on a monthly basis.

4. Assist the Director of Commercial Operations in the deployment of additional strategic programs.

 

This role will require an individual to understand the commercial organization and will require extensive interaction with regional resources including operations, finance, sales, and consulting.  Additionally, this resource will be called upon to manage daily activities and must have effective time and project management skills.

 

The resource will be guided by Director of Commercial Operations and will (with buy in from his manager) have the freedom to drive projects to increase commercial efficiency as he deems fit.  The incumbent will be supported by his/her manager to get buy-in from senior management for any initiatives requiring a leadership push.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in consulting or sales management and will have excellent written, analytical and communication skills.  The individual must be detail oriented and must be able to manage his time effectively.

 

The role will be based in Atlanta, GA and will require some travel (less than 35%).
