Communications/Public Policy Analyst
Energetics Incorporated is a professional energy engineering support services and management consulting firm with offices in Washington, DC and Columbia, MD. Our staff of public policy analysts, strategic communications planners, energy and environmental analysts, engineers, scientists, and business planners assists public and private-sector clients in addressing their most challenging policy, communications and technology transfer, and technical and business process problems.
Energetics seeks a Communications Analyst for its Washington Office to support on-going work with the U.S. Department of Energy and other clients. The position involves work for our U.S. Department of Energy clients: 1) generating programmatic and communications/outreach documents, presentations, and briefing packages; 2) supporting ongoing strategic communications planning, which includes, research, writing, and working with our graphic design group; 3) organizing meetings, events, and training workshops; 4) participating in on and off-site meetings; and 5) task management.
Ideal candidates should have demonstrated experience in the energy industry as a consultant, researcher, or public policy analyst. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related fields. Candidates must possess strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written skills; demonstrated communications/technology transfer experience; ability to work proactively as part of a close-working team; strong attention to detail; and ability to function independently. Proven skills in using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.
