Consultant - Compliance & Audit

RSG is a well respected New York based?management consulting focused on the interrelationship between corporate governance, compliance and risk management. We help organizations identify, assess and respond to compliance and business risks which may involve complex operational, regulatory and accounting issues. We are currently searching for Consultants with SOX and audit skills to join our team.


Location: Metro NY?? (No Relocation)

Job Function:

?Develop client related SOX compliance programs: Develop and maintain the client project plan, develop thorough documentation of control design, conduct testing of controls, identify and classify deficiencies and implement necessary remediation.Perform ongoing testing of clients? internal control environment for compliance with existing control documentation.Monitor changes to client process documentation including changes to documented controls, risk monitoring and development of test plans.Audit, evaluate and recommend improvements to clients? internal control operations, information technology and accounting/financial reporting procedures and controls.Maintain proactive communication with the client regarding management expectations, best practices and changes in the compliance and control environment.When not performing SOX engagement related duties, perform a wide variety of internal audits, including financial audits, operational audits, IT audits, management advisory services and other project work.

Minimum Qualifications:

?

????????? Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.

????????? MBA preferred.

????????? Professional certification of one or more of the following: CPA, CIA, CISA, CMA, CFE

????????? Five to ten years experience in internal audit or public accounting, including at three years at the supervisory level.

????????? Advanced knowledge of COSO, GAAP, SEC and PCAOB regulations and requirements.

????????? Demonstrated team leadership, and project management skills.

????????? Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

????????? Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines.
