Located at our corporate office in Eagan, MN, the Consultant position is a high-visibility, career-enhancing opportunity to help drive the strategy of a proven market leader. TLR's Global Strategy is an internal strategy consulting organization whose clients include senior executives of the major businesses as well as the CEO, CFO, and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
The Consultant is a key member of the global strategy organization, providing analytical support for internal consulting projects across the enterprise. Example projects include working with business units to build business plans and strategies, participating on cross-functional teams to rationalize and improve products and processes, assisting with domestic and international market assessment projects. Based on the individual?s career goals and development, the candidate will have the opportunity to advance quickly within the strategy organization or in a line management capacity elsewhere in the company.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of strategic and financial analysis and must be a proven leader with a high degree of confidence, tenacity, and a passion to succeed. These highly visible positions require an individual with outstanding oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with all areas of the organization. In addition, the individual must be well organized, yet comfortable in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment. A high energy, "roll-up your sleeves" attitude and commitment to success are absolutely imperative.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree required, coursework in business strategy and analytical areas of study (e.g. economics, finance, statistics)
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
?Experience with the legal information industry, international business and e-commerce desired
?Proven analytical and quantitative skills; experience with spreadsheets or other quantitative modeling
?Proven ability to build relationships with, and influence all levels within an organization
?Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
?Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
?Ability to handle multi-tasking environment, meet deadlines, and work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential
issues
?Strong PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
?Experience in working within fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business environment
?Ability to work extended hours on a regular basis
Experience:
?3 years of business experience (e.g. mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, channel optimization,
business development)
?1 years strategy consulting experience strongly desired
