The Strategy Team?s mission is to be the recognized strategy and consulting partner to Allstate Financial senior leadership enabling the organization to define and realize its strategic intent. The team provides value-added strategic insight through an unbiased approach of fact-based analysis and innovative thinking, while incorporating the internal and external perspectives.

 

SCOPE AND

RESPONSIBILITY:  This position will have responsibility for providing strategic, analytic and project management support to numerous initiatives.

 

The Business Consultant, Strategy and Business Development will be accountable for:

 

?  Functional area strategic inquiries;

?  Business development (e.g., new products, channels or markets);

?  Strategic issues identification and assessment;

?  Annual strategic and/or operating planning process;

?  Business intelligence, competitive tracking, and benchmarking. 

 

BACKGROUND

REQUIRED:  The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years experience with a major management consulting firm or a minimum of four years of relevant business experience.  The ideal candidate will have gained this experience at a world-class financial services company or management consulting firm.

 

  Knowledge and expertise should include:

 

?  Experience developing business unit strategies and business case assessments;

?  Strong financial modeling skills;

?  Advanced project management capabilities;

?  Proven ability to manage multiple projects, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities;

?  Possess strong oral and written communication skills (e.g., reports, presentations, etc.);

?  Strong team-orientation and ability to work with people from all business areas;

?  Solid research and networking skills;

?  High level of initiative and ability to work independently;

?  Keen attention to detail;

?  Knowledge of financial services products, channels, consumer trends and industry/competitive dynamics;

?  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including experience in constructing complex Excel spreadsheet models and PowerPoint presentations.

 

EDUCATION

REQUIRED:  This position requires a Bachelor?s degree and an advanced degree from a top institution.
