Consumer Products - Business/Technical Consultant

Thompson Technologies is in search of a Senior Business Consultant and a Senior Technical Consultant with expertise in consumer products for a permanent opportunity in Atlanta.

 

The Senior Business Consultant will be an experienced external consultant that has consulted on packaged software and have excellent customer facing skills.

 

Knowledge of the Consumer Products industry, CRM, SFA, contracts management, capacity planning, trade funds planning, trade promotion management, and trade funds payments & deductions is required.

 

The Senior Business Consultant is responsible for gathering business requirements, documenting customer?s as is and to be business processes and requirements.

Design ? The Senior Business Consultant is responsible for developing design documents that map a customer?s business processes. Documents must identify how the application is to be configured and customized.

 

Consulting ? The Senior Business Consultant is responsible for giving customers advice around industry best practices.  Must perform various project consulting tasks as assigned, including project management, testing and quality assurance activities.  The consultant will provide leadership and guidance to customers as well as to team members.

 

The Senior Technical Consultant will have a superior understating of Microsoft Windows .Net, VB, Rational Rose, Jscript, ASP, SQL Sever and Oracle X, as well as technical architectures, web technologies, RDBMS, mobile computing and operating systems.

 

The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for writing Technical Design Documents outlining the business objective, logic and coding instructions.  Design approach must support and take advantage of Core calculations and technical architecture.

 

Coding ? Responsible for programming and testing customizations in support of customer-specific business requirements.  Coding techniques must support and take advantage of Core calculations and technical architecture.

 

Consulting ? Responsible for giving customers advice around technical best practices and application customizations.  Must work collaboratively with the project team to perform various project consulting tasks including task estimation, testing and quality assurance activities.  The Sr. Technical Consultant must provide leadership and guidance to customers as well as to project team members.
