Credit Risk Manager to work for a Management Consulting Firm

Assist in further developing the credit risk consulting practice, including, hiring, training, and motivating new team members.

Provide innovative thought leadership in credit risk management topics. Drive market awareness of intellectual capital through developing presentations to industry forums/panels, authoring articles for trade publications, and communicating with market practitioners.

Serve as lead project manager for large retail and commercial credit risk management consulting engagements at banking and other financial institution clients. Lead aspects of the project, including project structuring, staffing, and managing the performance of team members to meet project requirements. Manage client expectations and ensure client satisfaction.

Assist in sales efforts on credit risk management consulting projects. Grow relationships with a large number of major banking and other financial institution firms to position for potential opportunities on Credit risk management consulting projects. Assist in the development of sales presentations and collateral material, and drive revenue streams

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of commercial and/or retail credit risk management experience including the following requirements:

Possess an in-depth knowledge of all major topics related to leading credit risk management practices, including Basel II credit risk assessment, planning, and implementation

Familiarity with enterprise risk management concepts and leading practices.



Possess significant number of business relationships with senior credit risk executives
Experience with credit risk policy/procedures, governance structure, credit analytics and modeling techniques, risk rating methodologies, credit workflow, and credit data management issues.

Experience with the fundamentals and/or implementation of Risk-Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC) in a banking environment.

Familiarity with the functionality of major credit risk technology vendors

Experience with regulatory issues, including Basel II, Sarbanes-Oxley, GLBA, FDICIA requirements and related compliance risk programs

A strong professional presence, demonstrated sales ability, project management skill, exemplary team-building ability, and strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

An ability to travel extensively (up to 80%) is required

Commercial or consumer leasing

Securitization

Asset back securities



Experience could be (in consulting or in banks):

In a credit risk group managing the above processes and/or systems

Managing or participating in a project to implement processes or systems for the above



Compliance Manager

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the planning, management and growth of a professional services practice focused on the regulatory needs of U.S. banks and broker / dealers. They should have a proven track record of building and maintaining a consulting team that is flexible to meet the demands of the dynamic regulatory environment while achieving outstanding operational metrics.



The individual will be responsible for developing relationships as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to Chief Risk and Chief Compliance Officers. He or she must possess extensive experience guiding client organizations through regulatory response strategy and legal discovery engagements. The candidate should have a strong background in helping organizations to develop compliance solutions that preempt regulatory issues.



They must possess expertise in overseeing the strategy development, requirements definition and physical implementation of transaction monitoring utilities. This should include and expert level of understanding in the areas of:



Trade compliance
Sales compliance
Transaction analysis
Quantitative modeling
Patriot Act mandates (e.g. AML / Know Your Customer)
The individual should have a thorough understanding of industry issues and regulations related to the sales suitability of transactions in the market place. They should have a solid understanding of financial products and strategies as well as the risks associated with financial product types.



They must possess expertise in overseeing the logical design and physical implementation of information life cycle management programs. This should include an expert level of understanding of:



Document management
Taxonomy development
Mail management
Other eCommunications management
Experience with clearing and custodial organizations is a plus.



The appropriate background would include:



Minimum of 12 years of consulting in a large professional services environment

Bachelor degree in finance or economics

MBA / JD preferred
