Customer, Financial, and Pricing Analysis

 POSITION SUMMARY

 

Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) is an independent organization that specializes in providing training and consulting services. Our mission is to assist manufacturers in increasing productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. Much of our work involves small to mid-sized manufacturing clients

 

This person will be a senior member of MMTC?s consulting staff that is responsible for managing and implementing projects with client companies.  These projects will include activities such as performing profitability-by-customer analysis, assigning costs to value stream maps, and doing assessments that include using financial analysis (1) to assign costs to activities to find priority cost-saving opportunities, and (2) to identify opportunities to raise prices or exit the job or customer.

 

 In addition, this person will assist in developing new financial service products and training courses for small to mid-sized manufacturers.  This person must interface with customers, work well in a team environment, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. 

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

? BS degree (or equivalent education/experience) in a technical or business field such as accounting

? Eight to ten years in a manufacturing/business environment

? Experience in designing and implementing costing systems in a

manufacturing environment

Experience in activity-based costing

? Experience gathering data, analyzing processes, and developing the activity-based cost models for manufacturing companies

? Experience constructing and interpreting financial statements, including in Subchapter S and LLC organizations

 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

? Experience in assessing company operations and finances

? Experience in developing and delivering training

? Manufacturing experience

? Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including template development
