DC Lead Systems Analyst
Description:
The Lead Systems Analyst (LSA) is responsible for the ultimate delivery and quality of the Benefits system for a single service (Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), or Health Management (HM)). The LSA has deep technical knowledge and is responsible for managing and analyzing the system development (analysis, configuration, and testing) of the technology platform (including batch) for a client teams benefits system as well as coaching the associates who develop the system. They work globally with the Technology Development Center (TDC) Project Lead to assign work.
Responsibilities
Client Interaction Works with client to discuss complex technical requirements, set client expectations, and manage client involvement in analysis activities
Systems Development & Deployment Strategy Develops and executes integrated systems, testing, and deployment strategy for aligned service
Technical Project Management Develops, maintains, and executes service specific iteration plan for construction tasks (including all batch tasks).
TDC Project Management Works with Technology Development Center (TDC) Systems Project Lead (SPL) to conduct entire iteration
Pre-Construction Analysis Reviews client requirements, performs gap and/or impact analysis, and delegates as appropriate data, foundation, and systems analysis in preparation for service-specific cloning and configuration
Project Execution Coaches, develops, manages, and directs work of service aligned analysts
Systems Analysis & Testing For aligned service (and common), reviews analysis and test plans, provides service-specific expertise, and identifies high level system solutions
Acceptance Testing Manages the delivery of the client acceptance testing process and works with BSM to identify client acceptance test scenarios
Deployment Manages the iterative deployment process via Bill of Materials and Deployment Plan
Change Order Requests Reviews, inspects, and assesses priority of Change Order Requests from client/Ongoing Delivery Group (ODG)

Leverages the talent/resources on the team to generate results
Monitors associate performance to ensure that results are achieved in an effective/efficient way
Conducts necessary performance management conversations with associates; uses tools and resources available to managers at Hewitt
Educates, reinforces, and holds associates accountable for behaviors that support Hewitt policies and guidelines (i.e., Code of Conduct, Data Privacy, etc.)
Qualifications:
Technical Skill Entry
Translate known and fairly complex client requirements/legislation into system specifications and test plans
Create requirements reports from Enabler
Able to evaluate system specifications to determine if they meet client and legal requirements
Produce analysis artifacts for service specific tasks
Understand, follow, and use SDLC methodology at an intermediate level
Intimate knowledge of client specific plan provisions and their best practices
Use/coach on technical and proprietary tools used to configure, test, and debug the system
Tailor and import blueprints to create executable tasks
Create one-time project blueprints from generic template
Use SDLC reporting tools to manage iteration and module status
Deep knowledge of system capabilities and functionality
Intimate knowledge of data flows, system interdependencies, and mainframe architecture
Manage the dynamics of a diverse and virtual team environment
If role includes people management:
Knowledge of Hewitt Policies, Manager Tools, and Resources (i.e., Transaction Center, Associate Resource, etc.)
Education & Certifications
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, technical degree, or equivalent work experience required
Work Experience
3+ years of aligned service experience required
3+ years experience with Systems Development required
1+ years experience (and demonstrated competence, depth and breadth) with complex event flow configuration and testing
2+ years experience coaching and leveraging work through others
4+ years experience in the Setup Configuration Analyst / Systems Analyst roles combined
2-4 years managing and performing integrated technical analysis and configuration for clients in their aligned service (preferred)
1-2 years managing projects using an SDLC or RUP methodology (preferred)
1+ year data conversion experience
2+ years relational database experience (DB2, Oracle, SQL Data System, SQL Server)

Proficient in coaching others (minimum six months of experience)
