DIRECTOR WORLWIDE STRATEGIC PLANNING

 

Responsibilities:

? Directly accountable for delivering the strategic plan used to establish Ingram Micro?s financial and human capital investments, identify potential acquisitions and partnerships, and articulate the company?s strategic priorities.  This includes:

o  Working closely with all areas of the company to lead the corporate and regional strategic planning processes.

o  Playing a major role in identifying and analyzing environmental forces ? including trends, competition, socio-economic factors, threats and opportunities ? affecting the company, its markets and its industry.

o  Recommending directions that build long-term value for the corporation. 

? Present the strategic plan to a variety of corporate stakeholders, including top executives and the board of directors.

? Provide counsel to management regarding new business opportunities, areas for improvement and growth initiatives.

? Ability to identify and analyze the vision, mission, ideology (?approach to market?), competencies and opportunities of an organization, with a long-term view of maximizing shareholder value.

? Understand the impact of trends, economic forces, competition and market dynamics.

? Bring an external, ?big-picture? perspective to business discussions.

? Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple demands effectively.

? Provide counsel to the company?s senior-most executives and board of directors in a confident yet respectful manner. 

? Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.

 

Other Requirements: 

? BS/BA in Business, Marketing or related field with an MBA preferred. 

? 8 - 10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, business development, information technology, consulting, and/or strategic planning, with leadership experience in strategic planning for at least two years. 

? Experience in scenario planning, environmental and financial analysis, market segmentation, risk assessment and business plan development.

? Excellent oral, written and formal presentation skills.  Experience presenting to top executives, boards of directors or other prestigious audiences preferred.

? Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
