The BearingPoint Cross Industry Solutions Group is currently searching for Data Center Facilities and Common Infrastructure Specialist.

Location/s: Phoenix/Tempe, AZ

The Data Center Facilities and Common Infrastructure Specialist shall provide data center facilities support to implementation projects or initiatives. Responsible for applying data center facility standards to their assigned projects as well managing the deployment of common infrastructure components as necessary. This may include working with Solution Delivery, Operations and service providers on translation of design standards into specific data center floor space management or configuration decisions, environmental, security, power and utility requirements, bills of materials, prioritization of projects, build-out of data center floor space and supporting systems, etc. to be defined. Responsible for managing common infrastructure implementation (i.e. enterprise storage, enterprise backups, networks, etc.).

Requirements:


Previous experience managing data center facilities, floor space management, and operations - or key member of data center operations staff.


Experience with multiple computing platforms: UNIX, Intel, Enterprise Storage and Backup subsystems, fiber connectivity, network connectivity, etc


Strong understanding of data center facilities support systems - HVAC, Power, UPS, PDUs, Generators, Fire Suppression, etc.
Understanding of cable plant design / options (both copper and fiber) helpful


Bachelors in Computer Science or Business strongly preferred.


Must be willing to travel up to 100% M-Th


Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder


Must be local to Phoenix/Tempe, AZ
