Data Warehouse Sr. Manager

Job Description: Opportunities currently exist for a strong Senior Manager with significant experience in providing data warehouse project management, architecture planning and implementation of complex distributed systems.

Responsibilities will include planning and administering major portions of the development effort, i.e. resource management, client management, major components design/architecture, and managing the implementation effort.

This role requires broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment.

Qualifications:
• 8-10+ years hands-on, technical experience developing and managing full life cycle applications in a distributed computing environment
• Full life cycle experience in data warehouse project management
• Data Warehouse project management and implementation
• Multidimensional/Relational OLAP (MOLAP, ROLAP)
• Relational and dimensional modeling for decision support environments
• Understanding various development phases and issues related to data warehouse implementations
• Fundamental concepts and architectural principles of data warehousing
• Business driven requirements design process
• Experience working with two- and three- tiered architectures; Internet/intranet applications; data & application partitioning and distribution; object design and programming; data warehousing, and networking (a combination of these skills is desired)

• Languages: C, C++, HTML, JAVA
• GUI Tools: Visual Basic,
• Reporting Tools: AlphaBlox, Arcplan, Brio, Business Objects, Hyperion Analyzer, MicroStrategies, Cognos Impromptu, Crystal Reports
• Financial Consolidation & Reporting: Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Financial Manager
• Multidimensional databases (MOLAP/ROLAP): Hyperion Essbase, Cognos PowerPlay, Micro Strategies, Oracle Express, Seagate Holos
• RDBMS: ORACLE, SYBASE, INFORMIX, DB2/2-UDB, SQLServer
• ETL Tools: Informatica, Data Junction, OST, SQLServer Transformation Services
• Modeling Tools: Erwin, Rational Rose, System Architect
• Web development environments: Microsoft, VisualWave, XML, Frontpage, Dreamweaver
• Operating systems: UNIX, Windows NT

Additional experience:

• Excellent written communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership and decision making skills
• Strong technical aptitude, understanding integration in technical environments
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in Computer Science
• Willingness to travel 75-100% (Monday-Thursday)
• Life Sciences/Biotech background a plus
